LM Maroquinerie was born from a long matured project and a meeting between two young entrepreneurs who decided to take advantage of the complementarity of their training and experience to launch their own brand and succeed in this challenge: to offer quality leather goods at the best price.
At the head of several fashion and accessories boutiques, Gauthier Loubeyre has sales experience and product knowledge. For several years now, he has been dreaming of launching his own brand and launching a collection of quality bags at attractive prices. When he shares his project with his cousin, Hugo Metzger, a recent graduate of a major business school open internationally, he is immediately seduced.
As part of his studies, Hugo spent a year in Mexico and six months at an Indian university, two countries where he was able to appreciate local crafts. He is also familiar with Guatemala where, as part of a government programme, he has established contacts with artisanal communities to promote their production.
The dream is gradually taking shape and the entrepreneurial company is soon coupled with a family history. Having become partners, the two accomplices went to South America and then India and undertook a long and rigorous research and selection process to find tanners and craftsmen who met the most demanding quality and ethical criteria.
